While in the outdoors always treat all water as if it is contaminated. To resolve this problem, boil water before using. This is done as most organisms are unable to survive up to 1 to 2 minutes of boiling. If you are unable to find water, look for animal trails and follow it. Also look for birds as they often circle a watering hole. Insects and plants are also good indicators of water sources. If that isn’t working, dig holes in the ground and watch it fill up with rainwater or look for a dry creek as it might have water running under the ground.
